Kimberly Winston-Matthews, MD (Dr. Kim)

Dr. Kim earned her Medical Degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Michigan. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Ascension Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan. After working for more than 15 years at Henry Ford Health she is now focused on helping women with ADHD reclaim their joy.

Welcome to a safe space for black women, indigenous women, women of color (BIPOC), and our allies. It is important to recognize that cultural factors can impact how conditions are experienced and treated. For example, research has shown that individuals from BIPOC racial and ethnic backgrounds may be less likely to seek mental health treatment due to cultural stigma, lack of access to care, or mistrust of healthcare providers. As a black doctor with cultural understanding, I am uniquely positioned to address these barriers and provide culturally sensitive care for individuals with ADHD, Anxiety, Obesity and Professional Burnout.

I am a Family Medicine Doctor who provides counseling, evaluations and medication management in Michigan. I also provide coaching worldwide for Professional Black Women with ADHD. The ability to receive these services with one provider is unique and helps build a comprehensive, patient-centered connection.

Regardless of how you reach out to me, I am committed to providing you with compassionate and effective care. “Empathy has no script. There is no right way or wrong way to do it. It's simply listening, holding space, withholding judgement, emotionally connecting, and communicating that incredibly healing message of 'You're not alone.’” Brene’ Brown
